We are delighted that our colleague Jason Dempsey was a winner for Developer Money Market in the category Broker Commercial Finance at the British Specialist Lending Awards. The judges commented “Jason has energy, enthusiasm and a laser sharp focus on platform development and tech implementation alongside delivering great business volumes gave this nominee the edge.”
The large and exciting event took place at the prestigious Hilton London Bankside venue and celebrated great talent in the specialist lending industry. Nominees had to have up to three years total experience aimed at those individuals who have made exceptional progress in their respective businesses. Each nominee had to demonstrate first-class results, attitude and ambition as well as evidence that they have consistently overachieved.
A very proud Jason collected his award on the evening. Jason said: “It is a great honour to win the Broker Commercial Finance category and I would like to say a huge thank you to all of the kind colleagues in the industry that nominated me. Naturally, also a big thank you to the British Specialist Lending Awards team, and all of the judges, for the award and a brilliantly organised event!”
As well as Broker Commercial Finance, other broker categories included Broker Rising Star, Complex Buy-to-Let, Second Charge, Bridging and Short-Term Finance and Adverse Credit. Among the lender awards was Rising Star – Product Provider, Underwriter, Business Development, Head of Sales and Head of National Accounts. The Broker Commercial Finance Award was sponsored by Interbay.

The awards event took place on the 18th May at the London Hilton Bankside and as well as the award announcements, attendees enjoyed the acclaimed stand-up comedian Suzi Ruffel and a post-awards party! The British Specialist Lending Awards spoke of their commitment to the Changemakers Initiative. This initiative supports difference, as well as positive environmental change, and inclusion to make our industry fairer and more environmentally conscious. Great that over £2,000 was also raised on the night for charity too!
